Mango the Pomeranian Don't Care

Runaway Dog’s Traffic-Stopping Chase Caught on Tape: While not the high-speed car chase that action movies are made of, a “slow force” effort to capture a runaway, 4-year-old Pomeranian was enough to paralyze traffic along a major Portland, Ore., highway. Best to Bandit!

We just wanted to send out the loudest Lion roar, biggest Bear hug, and tremendous Tiger purr to Bandit, aka Bandito, aka Ito, aka coolest Rottweiler this side of Tucson (and the whole world). He's a spitting image of Good Dog Carl, only he's our real-world bro, and sadly, he's ailing. We're sending all our love, a whole bunch of positive energy, and our very best wishes to you buddy. We love ya, Man.

Humans Aren't The Only Ones With Special Powers, Yo!

Okay,  we know we're not the first non-humans to have a blog. We've heard of cats with blogs, and we're pretty sure there are dog blogs, too. But the difference is we're not even real animals in the traditional you-have-to-pick-up-our-poop and clean-our-litter box sense. The truth is we're not even alive. No, we're not ghosts like Neal the ghost dog of ghosts George and Marion Kirby in the Topper stories. And we're not vampires like Bunnicula (and wasn't he one clever rabbit? So ahead of the current vampire rage). But we do have something in common with both Neal and Bunnicula because like them, we're fictional characters. But hey, that doesn't make us any less real. Just ask our owner, Kendra Madison, the cool USC-loving protagonist who solves mysteries on PAC-12 campuses. She'll tell you. In fact, the dear woman spoils us silly, fussing over us almost as much as she does over her two daughters, Jessica and Vanessa. And she's a good mom, running interference between that cranky-hanky husband of hers, Mark Granger, and us, making sure our needs are always met.

Now you could read about us in one of the PAC-12 Mystery Series books, but honestly, you're going to get a slightly-biased (read: human) perspective, since they're narrated by Kendra. Yeah, we've heard about those mystery books where cats help solve the crime. Ri-ight. Whatever. There are probably books with horses, dogs, and birds that run forensic tests, too. But if you want to know the real scoop, straight from the horse's (or in our case dogs' and cat's) mouth, you go to the source. And you, being one smart detective yourself, are off to a good start, seeing you already found this blog. So stay tuned, animal lovers. We've got the inside story on all the PAC-12 mascots, celebrity pets, and more. Who knows, if we get enough followers you might get in as a ground floor backer when we launch Animal Magazine (joke). This can be HUGE. But for now, we'll stick to updates on the slutty feral cats that prowl our property and the gluttonous squirrels that stuff their cheeks (literally) with our citrus fruit. Later.
